Attention to detail

I design and build every feature no matter how small, with care and quality. The way all the components interact with each other, is what makes the designs work and flow.  Your garden is an expression of the way you view your outdoor space. By working together, we can translate this into captivating spaces for you to enjoy and grow with.

Here are a few examples of gardens I have designed and built.

Passionate about landscaping

I'm Alan, the founder of Border Landscapes, a high quality design and build landscape service. I have always been artistic and creative and love being outdoors, this naturally led to my passion for landscaping.

I began honing my skills at the University of Manchester and received my Masters in Landscape Planning and Management in 2001. I have since worked on various projects across the country including working for a Chelsea award-winning designer.

I relish the creative challenges that each new project brings, from large country gardens to compact urban spaces. My desire is to tailor stunning unique outdoor spaces that are beautifully conceived, creating a sense of place, purpose, growth and understated elegance.
